What a fabulous Jubilee weekend we had!
A beautiful service and commemorative tree planting at St Nicholas on Sunday followed by the Loyal Toast at the Hall, surrounded by the timeline, posters and hand-painted map which had been shown to HM The Queen at Salisbury in May.
Monday saw Jubilee Olympics and a BBQ and bar on Grafton Green, culminating with another BBQ at The Swan in the evening, with a fire juggler, fireworks and a beacon, not to mention the lighting of Wilton Windmill with the Union Jack.
Wow!
And a huge thank you is due to David Lemon who organised it all and the scores of helpers who made it happen.
Definitely a weekend not to be forgotten!
Pictures and more details will follow shortly.
